Home Builder Amarillo | we are Making a Difference
Good morning, everyone. This is Amy Chaney, which Chaney Construction and I just wanted to talk today about one of our core values. And so we have about a system of core values that we believe in. And this is just kind of our mantra for our company. And so just want to take those take you through each of them one by one. And so this morning, we’re going to start with our first one, which is make a difference. And so strive to make a difference in people’s lives every single day, even small things can make a huge impact. And so that is our first core value for Chaney Construction, a Home Builder Amarillo, and what does that mean? And what does that mean to us. And so, for us, making a difference is just, you know, something even as small as a smile, or a thank you note or a call, just to say, hey, been thinking about, you just wanted to touch base with you haven’t talked to you in a while, just those small things, building those relationships with, with the people around us, you know, even the people that we are, we’ve known for many years, but even more so the people that we haven’t known for very long, maybe it’s the lady at the checkout stand, or maybe it’s a waitress at a restaurant, or maybe it’s the person handing us our dream, gotta drive through, you know, make a difference, what is something we can all do every single day to make a difference in someone’s life, talking to them, looking them directly in the eyes, validating their existence, these are all things that can make a huge difference in someone’s life, just say more than thank you and leaving and, you know, to have a conversation to get to know a person and a thirty second transaction.
As a Home Builder Amarillo we know that those are things that last a lifetime, you know, something that makes them have a better day, even though they don’t know why, you know, in today’s society, we are just in such a hurry to do things all the time. And so, you know, knowing that what we’re doing is making a difference in people’s lives is, is should be the forefront of our mind. You know, who who are these people in front of us? How does God see them, you know, we want to see people the way God sees these people, you know, give us eyes to see and ears to hear, you know, if someone having a bad day. And so, you know, being able to have that discerning spirits be able to recognize that it’s be able to do something that’s uplifting and positive for them something to Death Valley validate their existence, to let them know, Hey, I see you, I see you, I see what you’re doing. I see your efforts, I see the fruit of your labor coming for you from for you.
And a harvest so soon, just that interaction, that personal interaction, it’s a huge thing. And it means a lot to to people, especially in the world that we live in today, where people are so busy that they go unnoticed, you know, you can drive by or walk by the person on the street every single day and never ever recognize them. never see them never, ever even know that they’re there. And that’s something that as a Home Builder Amarillo at Chaney Construction we want to just really be able to spread across the world. Does that make a difference? attitude, you know, make a difference in someone’s life, make a difference in the way that you act, the way that you treat other people, the way you recognize someone’s spirit and their emotions. And at that time, the way you recognize who they are and how God sees them. That is just going to make a difference in so many people’s lives at Chaney Construction. Also, just being able to, to strive to go above and beyond what the norm is being able to step out of that busy cycle and season in your life and being able to stop and think how can I make a difference today in someone’s life? How can I make a difference today and my employees lives? How can I make a difference in my spouse’s life, or my children’s life.
So often, I think we overlook the fact that we need to make a difference in our kids lives as parents and as a Home Builder Amarillo. And you know, whether it’s just speaking a word of encouragement to them, you know, school is hard. It’s not just hard from the aspect of them learning but it’s hard in the aspect of them socializing, and the things that they deal with, that we didn’t deal with growing up, you know, social media can be such a harmful tool have used in the wrong way. And, you know, explaining that to your children and making sure that they are guarded from that type of negativity, and making sure that they understand how that is not a tool that they ever want to use, and put in their own hands to put against someone else. As a Home Builder Amarillo we understand this and so just that, you know, know, taking that and explaining that to our children and realizing our kids are going through some things no matter how great of parents or how great ally for how great his school they have, or how great of friends they have, our kids are going to go through some things and making sure that we step up and make a difference in their lives.
Show them the live, show them the positive, you know, energy and values that they can hold on to, and taking time to really be able to discover, you know, what our children’s needs are. And so, you know, being able to take time to make a difference in our spouses life as well. Be a supporter of your spouse, be the shining light for your spouse, you know, for my husband and I, as a Home Builder Amarillo we work together on a daily basis and I think we take that for granted a lot of times we stopped forget to stop and think about, you know, we think well, we work together so that’s showing a level support No, we need to be able to show a level of support to each other spirits and to their souls and, you know, bring them up as opposed to bringing each other down. And so that is our first core value is make a difference and and we just wanted to share what that means to us and we would love to hear what that means to you.
